Anyone who knows me well knows that there's no other place on Earth than Estes Park/RMNP that I'd like to be. And this year for the Bonifay/Knittle/Russell reunion, we all got to take in the glory of the Rockies for a wonderful week of rest, relaxation, and total (or nearly) un-plugged-ness. Of course, I'll never hear the end of that!
Despite the road noise (the cabin we stayed in was adjacent to Highway 34 heading into RMNP from Lake Granby), the wet weather, and the lack of an internet (and sometimes phone) service ("Could've looked that up if I had an interweb connection"), we had a great time watching the kids walk the "tight-rope" (thanks Bob!), hike, and watch for wildlife along the way.
One of five moose seen throughout the park during the week. This mama was seen again with her calf the next day.
It was a great week and we enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and of course, sleep!
